“The past affects the present even without our being aware of it.”― Francine Shapiro
We want to provide you with a secure, accepting environment where you can grow into the best version of yourself. By providing a holistic, eclectic approach to treatment, we achieve this by laying the groundwork for your most genuine self. A person-centered approach to mental health takes the whole person into account. By placing you, not your diagnosis or symptoms, at the center of your treatment plan, we hope to address your needs on an emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual level.
We help you not only to address your behavioral and mental health issues but also to recognize and capitalize on your strengths.
Core Principles:
Integrity, faith, family, self-care, honesty, sincerity, inclusivity, compassion, and outcomes are among my core values.
Our mission is to advance equity and equality, promote social, racial, economic, and environmental justice, reduce oppression, and improve human health and well-being within local and international community systems.
The mental health community we envision is one in which we, as therapists and clinicians, are led by our hearts as much as by our minds and have the courage to continue to be self-reflective and self-aware.
My personal convictions are to live by biblical principles and incorporate them into our practice when, if, and where appropriate. However, this does not mean exclusion; we commit to treating everyone with dignity and the respect they deserve; in addition to our faith-based principles, we further uphold the ethical principles, rules, and standards established by the National Association of Social Workers (https://www.socialworkers.org/About/Ethics/Code-of-Ethics/Code-of-Ethics-English).
We envision a community that is well-informed and cares about mental health—communities as a whole—where we believe that everyone has the capacity to grow. We think you are lovable, loving, and vulnerable from birth, and we know that life experiences and situations can change a person's outlook on the world, attitudes, and perspectives.
We also imagine a world where everyone has access to knowledge and care that can aid them in achieving harmony and improving their mental and emotional well-being. This will promote general wellness and build stronger, more resilient families and communities.
Our mission is to provide our clients, their families, and others in need with the most efficient, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services available. We use a wide range of evidence-based services rooted in exceptional care and deliberate expectations for the best clinical outcomes to accomplish this.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve the lives of others. Your generous donation will also help fund our mission to help those who are most vulnerable, less fortunate, and oppressed through our non-profit organization, the B.A.N.D. Initiative. Mental health is governed by many internal factors—like anxiety, fear, depression, and worry—and external forces such as sickness, hardship, and loss. Mental health is just as important as keeping the rest of your body in good health. Our mental health influences how we move through life, how we view ourselves, and how we relate to others. That’s why it is crucial to cultivate a positive and healthy mindset by discussing our mental health concerns with a professional. Our bodies, minds, thoughts, and feelings need to be cared for frequently and purposefully.
