I am Licensed in the state of Connecticut
as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I LOVE what I do! I have well over 20+ years of experience working with diverse populations, including children/adolescents, young adults, individuals, families, and various cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. I am integrative in my approach to treatment, which means that I use all theoretical orientations and interventions uniquely tailored to the needs of each person. This individualized approach helps each person take control over debilitating symptoms, feelings, and self-defeating patterns that hold them back from living satisfying emotional, social, and professional lives.
I would describe myself as warm, compassionate, and easy to relate to. Clients find me to be approachable and non-intimidating. My style is interactive with a high level of feedback and participation, a critical ingredient of clients' engagement and overall satisfaction with the therapy experience. Research shows that the relationship with the therapist is an essential ingredient for a successful treatment. Therefore, I want all my clients to feel that the relationship with me is the fit that they need to make the changes that will make them feel more positive and at peace with themselves.
I am a graduate of Fordham University, where I earned a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work. I also hold an associate's degree in General Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services from the University of Bridgeport. I find human behavior intriguing and enjoy continuously adding to my knowledge base and skills set by attending various training sessions throughout the year using multiple mediums (reading journal articles, listening to podcasts, viewing related content, etc.). I also stay current on associated trends and research in my field, which informs my work better. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. In Human and Social Services with emphasis on Family Studies and Interventions.
Finally, I am Co-owner/Co-Executive Director/Co-SHE-O of Pathways to Wellness, LLC., a group mental health and wellness practice with a primary emphasis on women of color.
I look forward to working with you on your journey to mental health awareness and wellness!

Mental health is governed by many internal factors—like anxiety, fear, depression, and worry—and, external forces such as sickness, hardship, and loss. Mental health is just as important as keeping the rest of your body in good health. Our mental health influences how we move through life, how we view ourselves, and how we relate to others; that’s why it is crucial to cultivate a positive and healthy mindset by discussing our mental health concerns with a professional. Our bodies, minds, thoughts, and feelings need to be cared for frequently and purposefully.
